About

One man. One roaster. No nonsense.

If your first question is why did he name it that, check yourself. The s is silent. And unique naming is hard in 2026, apple.com is taken. Vercors is an area of France known for hiking, paragliding, and as the site of the Resistance during WWII.

My mission

Source the best beans I can find from importers, profile them with intent, and get them to people fresh. Right now that means clean, high-grade Ethiopian coffees, roasted with enough precision to let small profile changes actually matter. I roast on Mondays, usually ship by Tuesday, send full one-pound bags, keep it whole bean only, and try to give people really fresh coffee at a price that makes sense.

“Ten ounces of coffee is insulting.”

Why it exists

Vercors is a pushback against overpriced tiny bags and coffee sold like a luxury prop.

How it runs

I source, roast, pack, and ship it myself. Keeping it small keeps the coffee honest.

Technicals

  • Two Grade 1 Yirgacheffes: one organic and one conventional.
  • Two roast variations, both in developed-medium territory.
  • One profile stays in the medium zone for sweetness and structure, tuned for pour over, AeroPress, and standard coffee.
  • The other is pushed slightly further as a medium tune for espresso, with more depth but no dark-roast heaviness.
  • Roasted on a commercial U.S. Roaster Corp 3-kilo machine.

How to buy

Roast drops usually happen every few weeks.

  • Text alerts go out the day before so you know when ordering is open.
  • Orders need to be in by 10 a.m. on roast day.
  • Everything is roasted to order.
  • I usually roast on Monday and ship by Tuesday, so you have fresh coffee for the weekend.
